I think the factory in Canada is enough cheaper that maybe you should cross the pond for it.

In addition to what I wrote in the other thread on similar topic (GFC500 for SEP and GFC600 for MEP and HP SEP), Garmin stated on several occasions that GFC500 and GFC600 will not be certified for G1000 aircrafts. For G1000 they already have GFC700 and I don't think they have any intention to change this.
