Re: DA42 down in Romania
As a DA42 owner these accidents give me nightmares. I find the aircraft relatively forgiving and docile even when my instructor pulls the power and we fly around OEI. Maintaining 85 knots (blue line) and directional control should be all that is necessary to stay alive. I hope the accident investigation uncovers what went wrong. God bless the lost soul.

Re: DA42 down in Romania
Judging the position of the wreckage I would say this could be result of spin.

Re: DA42 down in Romania
Difficult to speculate on cause. Both photos are from the same side. The wreckage in the foreground looks to be the rear cockpit door. Presumably this has been stacked there by the emergency workers. The wreckage behind the aircraft makes me think it likely the line of impact was towards the camera meaning the aircraft struck nose first and flipped over forward to its final position.
One great thing from this horrible mess - no post crash fire.
