True, but since the OP didn't specify and posted this question in the DA42 forum, it's not unreasonable to assume the question relates to the DA42. Maybe the OP will be back to clarify which engine.

The OP also owns a share of a DA42. I'm assuming CD-135s. My point was that the 90% to which he refers is a bit less than the horsepower of the AE300 at the Austro engine manufacturer's recommended cruise power setting of 75%, and that the similar engines would experience similar wear and tear outputting similar power. In other words, there should be no problem flying the CD-135s at 90% all the time.
