Maybe I was wrong in post above. STC 10036328 (owned by Technify) for DA40 says: "Installation of engine TAE 125-02-114 in combination with propeller MTV6-A/187-129 or MTV 6-A/190-69. Revision 1 follows a change of ownership. Revision 2 includes propeller MTV 6-A/190-69."

I guess it already is - STC doesn’t specify the engines which means it’s applicable to any engine.

Hi Emir
I have a 2006 D42 and am thinking of the conversion. Where did you get your conversion done and if I may ask how much did it cost. Post conversion values quoted by Art at Premier kind of set me back a bit.

Aeroservice at Lesce airport LJBL in Slovenia. As early adopter I had a discount and total price was €125k (two CD-155 engines, new radiators, cowlings modifications and new exhausts). For the pricing you have to contact Mr. Crosby because complete payment is done to him and then he sorts it out with chosen maintenance shop. You can expect higher price, especially because Continental rises engine prices every year. I think that two years ago CD-155 was €48k.

Happy to inform that I just did first flights with Scimitar propellers on my 2.0 DA42… :)
It took over a year from the idea to installation, I would say it was quite an achievement, as the new STC for 2.0 engines was needed. Great job of Martin and his team from MT-Propeller, with bit of persistence from my side ;)
And of course there was also some support from the side of Diamond, my DA42 is a 2.0l Thielert / CD135 version, in the past Scimitars were “reserved” for other versions of Diamond’s airplanes…
Looks that indeed something is changing at Diamond, let’s hope this STC is a good prognosis of a permanent change, for the good of our airframes and businesses of all involved parties… Saying that I am crossing fingers for the works of Scott and others over the WAAS issue…
The new props simply look awesome on my DA42, period :D Regarding the performance – I can’t say much yet, maybe except that they sound substantially quieter… The day was very bumpy, with strong crosswinds, no way I could check climb performance, shorter take-off or higher speed promised with the Scimitars…

Hi Salim,
I am afraid this will take some time, I do not expect much flying in the weeks to come, sorry for that…
But the idea about pushing for Scimitars was based upon Emir's comments from the CD155 upgrade project. The discussion after some substantial set of test flights you can find here:
https://diamondaviators.net/forum/viewt ... 5&start=30
So what I am expecting to see is some 4-5 kt speed increase and 10% better climb rate (the latter is from official test flights of MT).
In the meantime - please see few pictures from the last week, this is something I could share already - once Kai or Chris helps me please with proper link formatting out of the Dropbox…

Hello Bartek,
Thank you for your answer.
No problem, I'll wait !
I reviewed Emir's post closely. But I am interested in a confirmation from someone with 135 engines
My props are due for overhaul end of year.
I am considering an overhaul / upgrade with the new blades (16,3 k€ net of the old blades credit).
I'll wait for your feedback on performance before making a decision
Best,
Salim
