Are the CD-155 2.0s engines certified for N-registered DA42s?

Curious, can you get WAAS with the CD-155? (I never looked into this combination).

WAAS is a function of Garmin and DAI not an engine function. You only get engines from Conti.

Except the specific engines are part of the engine management pages of the G1000. Therefore all engine params, alerts, and the engine must be matched/paired with the configuration of the G1000. And these are not user/installation setable.

That is true. But it is independent of the garmin nav system. I think that the installation shop would do the set up of the new configuration. I will have to check with Glenn on that.

What’s the cost to replace 135 at TBR (2100) with same 135’s and cost to replace 155’s with new 155’s?
Im hope the cost is much lower compared to initial upgrade since you don’t have to redo the mounts, etc...
Quickly learning these airplane have some pretty expensive upgrades.

I am not sure of the costs but with a 2100 hour T B R I think priceing is going to change over a 10 to 20 year time frame depending on your flying. I fly about 100 hours a year. So that is about 20 years of flying and I am 73. I will be maybe about 100 by the time i will need to replace my engines.
