There's one more interesting thing regarding CD engines. It's often mentioned TBR or TBO in maintenance documents. However, I'm not aware of any single case of overhaul done on these engines. Does anyone have some information about this to share.

I personally know someone with a CD135 engine that is operated on condition (within TBO/R hours but out of calendar).

Monitored using fadec readouts primarily. Some accessories (fuel pumps etc..) are changed once in a while too.

CD-155 retrofit at DAI-C was around $175k last time I checked. CD-135 replacement in the field is around $115k. All of this swings with the EUR.
