OK to mix oil grades?
If my engine has AeroShell oil currently in it, can I top it off with Castrol Edge 0W-40 A3/B4 oil from Walmart, or so I have to drain all the oil out to switch grades?

I had the same question a few months ago.
The Austro Engine Operation Manual has this to say about it under the list of approved brands:

as well asIt is not recommended to mix different SAE grades.
Since Aeroshell Diesel Ultra is apparently 5W-30, I decided to go with the Castrol Edge 5W-30 A3 from Walmart (or Amazon) for topping off between oil changes and will plan on switching over entirely to that for my next oil change.Caution: Use only one type of approved E4 engine oil for an oil change.
