For the Da40NG, I use cookie tubes. The fuel tester is in one, my rolled up rubber gloves are in another. No smell. That plane has a pull down petcock for the engine sump. I’ve never seen, despite looking, a tester that has both a pin for wing tanks and pull down abilities except for the tester that comes with the plane.
