I just stumbled on a Facebook post from last week that long-time contributor here PhotoSteveZ lost has battle with cancer the prior weekend. RIP, bud.

Steve was a founding member of DPA, a brilliant photographer, and an all-around great guy. I'm glad I at least had the opportunity to meet up with him at Oshkosh a few years ago. RIP, Steve.

So sorry to hear. I met Steve on Zoom through DPA and compared notes occasionally on airborne photography, although he was light years ahead of me and most mortals. He was a very nice man. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to enjoy flying and living life in general, more so each time one of our friends is taken from us. I hope Steve enjoys the next adventure. I met Steve in October of 2023 to train several of his friends to legally fly his DA62 with him after losing his medical. A true gentleman and a pleasure to be around. His hangar was filled with his awesome photographs.
