I had put mine on the under side of the elevator. Rule of thumb is that if it fell off for some reason, it won’t hit anything and cause airframe damage.

I do the same, one mount on each side under the ends of the horizontal stabilizer. I usually mount an Insta360 X3 on one side, a GoPro 10 Black on the other side recording in 4K. That way you can get a wide shot with the 360 and also a higher resolution, albeit more limited directionality, with the GoPro. Sometimes the Insta360 X3 resolution is a bit lacking when you try to zoom a bit. Here's another video example switching back and forth between the two on the Hudson River VFR corridor. You can definitely see the difference in resolution. The Insta360 is mounted on the port side, the GoPro on the starboard side. I'm looking at also picking up the Insta360 X4 for an upcoming trip to Glacier NP and Yellowstone to pick up some additional resolution on the 360.

Note: click settings and select at least 1080P resolution. YouTube usually defaults to 720P
Beautiful video and I love the BGM!
As for the image quality blurry, I think it is probably because of the resolution restriction from YT that caused the quality decay instead of the original record itself. The cloud overcast and sun light position might also contributed to it. I love the setup you have with all three cameras mounted to shoot the video simultaneously! Nice work David !
