Diamond Parts Suck

Post by Jroseund »

Just a bitch fest that I’m sure all of you are definitely aware of or have experienced too.

I have been waiting 6 months for 2 transfer fuel pumps for my aux tanks due to both of mine making metal shavings. This was discovered during my last annual in August 2024. So far both are still working.

These incompetent dweebs are impossible to get in touch of. :scream: My maintenance provider said it’s like pulling teeth and now I know. Been told multiple times next month etc, but nothing shows. I had a few old numbers to call but behold I can’t talk to a human being. I finally become aware of this Customer Service Portal that all communication goes through now.

Has anyone been able to speak to an actual person? I’m pretty much going to make a new case on the portal and put AOG. Maybe that’ll move their butts.

I just found out about 2 weeks ago about this portal system. Has anyone had actual positive, fast responses with the people in Canada?

So after waiting 10 months for the Aux Pumps from Diamond finally got them in my aircraft around 2 months ago. About 2 weeks after that I noticed fuel leak from both sides. Took off the Aux Tank cowlings and unfortunately both new aux fuel pumps are leaking. So now I get to put my old ones back on and send the brand new POS parts back to Diamond.

Have her in for annual now and the center has been waiting for over a week for Diamond to respond for parts. Plus the center has lost the certified Diamond service center designation so I'm sure that that hurts. Luckily there's another one nearby but that's the last one.

Don't know ladies and gentleman...Lack of support, extensive lead times for parts with poor quality control etc....makes me start thinking about joining the Cirrus Club :( or maybe even a TMB 700 :D and say screw it.

Don't want to say bye to our lovely DA-62 but I seriously think Diamond just doesn't give a flying rats booty anymore.

Agree on the feeling! It is quite perplexing how this continues.

Had the same issue with AUX pump. They gave 6 months time for delivery. Declared AOG and the pump arrived within a week. Aircraft is in Europe. Definitely declare AOG even it costs some extra.
