Hi everyone
Thanks for your encouraging feedback! still hoping to get te iphone pics online...
I am now in Essen, Germany, EDLE at my girlfriend's home. Stephanie and I are back from another nice cross-country. We went to the island of Yeu, on the french Atlantic coast (ICAO LFEY).
This is a place I can recommend ( been there 5 times, totally addicted) for its magnificent scenery, great seafood, wild and so spectacular coastline and intact atmosphere. The airfield is really fun, windy, full of birds, and spectacular. We brought back a 4 pound lobster, about 40 pounds of canned fish specialties (!!!) and a biiiiig smile!
Flight back here was yet another exciting IFR challenge due to weather.
It also was my first contact with Luxembourg ATC. Impressively professional, friendly and welcoming. Hat off!
So if you feel like a weekend getaway on an Atlantic island, PM me for your personal Yeu briefing!
