Hello!
We have a 2004 DA-40. Is it possible to install OAM 40-252 after the fact? Anyone know the cost?
Thanks,
Charlie

The seats could easily be replaced in theory. The problem is that the XLT “kit” for this includes the back seats, side panels, carpets etc. and is something like $30k. Whether the seats can be bought alone remains to be seen.

Yikes! I was thinking about doing this on the copilot side (my son is 6' 4", with a long torso. It limits his ability to enjoy longer flights. At 6 ', I don't have a problem. I guess he will just have to be uncomfortable...

Re: Seats with adjustable backrest OAEM 40-252
I did this to our DA42. It seemed like a crazy amount of money to spend on seats, especially since my brother had just bought an entire PLANE for a little more than that.
But it changed how useable the plane is. We used to need to land every two and a half or three hours. Out of curiosity we once stretched it to five hours forty-five minutes with the new seats. So it's expensive, but it's like we bought a different plane.
