New Forum Photo
Nice new DA40 photo for the forum! He has the corked nosewheel just like I did in this recent photo.

Re: New Forum Photo
Another DA40 photo w a corked nosewheel. It has subsequently been fixed with the "Bret Fin" that works great!

Re: New Forum Photo
Based on the stripe, the new photo looks like a 2007 DA40XL model.

Re: New Forum Photo
Tosh (arksat) sent me some new banner photos today. Someday I'll get around to having it automatically rotate through them every once in a while, but for now it's manual. I thought this wintry one worked well for this time of year (well, at least here in the northern hemisphere).

Re: New Forum Photo
It looks like this N-number is no longer assigned to this aircraft or any other Diamond and the plane was exported to Australia around 2013. Still a cool picture.

Re: New Forum Photo
It was indeed exported to Australia, by me. I've had that photo as my computer wallpaper ever since; thanks for adding it as the banner photo here! But, I think that the attribution of the photo credit to DAI is incorrect - I got it from Summit Aviation's website.

Re: New Forum Photo
I was rereading the multiple threads about the Bret Fin and noticed the nose wheel on the current DAN banner photo for N887DS also looks corked. Doing a Google search on that aircraft, turns out it is also the first electric (note FAA entry for Engine) DA40 ;-)
