Re: Rudder pedal spring snapped
Yeah, I saw that - that's what tipped me off to ask before just ordering the spring. I found a local source for the original part number, so I was hoping, with the correct part number, to find the spring I need, too, without ordering from Diamond...Charles wrote:krellis wrote:...the IPC lists the part number as MS24586-C207. Try this part number - TF1-6X14-1DEX55-8
This is the part number for the tension spring we ordered for our 2010 XLS with the electric pedals. You might be able to source it from somewhere besides Diamond.

Re: Rudder pedal spring snapped
Diamond confirmed this part number for the electric pedals, but I don't have a price from them yet. The 2013 parts list price shows $15.84. I was going to try my local hardware store first - this spring looks pretty "normal", with just a loop on each end, unlike the non-electric pedal spring with it's long extension and tiny hook...Rick wrote:Thanks! Re: Rudder pedal spring snapped
My spring also snapped in the same place as Charles showed. Rick thought the spring could be sourced from possibly a hardware store. Can anyone rekindle this post and give price and replacement ideas, thanks (2006 DA40)

Re: Rudder pedal spring snapped
My copilot spring just snapped, too. I have the manual pedals. Has anyone successfully sourced one from a hardware store or is the Diamond the only option?TAILspin38 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 1:18 pm My spring also snapped in the same place as Charles showed. Re: Rudder pedal spring snapped
I ended up ordering my spring from Premier Aircraft in Florida - it was $18 total including shipping, etc. I ordered the part number I referenced above. But I have the electric pedals, so I think your part number is different for the manual pedals. You might try Premier - they could probably give you the correct part number, too.

Re: Rudder pedal spring snapped
I have the manual pedals (2006). I ordered a 3pk from Grainger for about $12 plus shipping. Item #1NBN7.
