"...has been known to catch on fire when starting"
My crew does not include the requisite person to stand by with the fire equipment while I'm "turning number one." I'm out, which is sort of sad because I've seen a few examples and it's a gorgeous plane.

Great article, thanks Dave. It agrees with everything else I've read. I've never heard of a problem with catching fire so not sure about that. Any owner I've read about seems very happy with their plane. Cross wind landing gear with the 275hp Jake seem like the best options so I'm looking for that.
Charbie, a half share would be a great way to go. There is a question about where to keep it - I'm currently at buttonville and will likely move to island airport. Again I'm in no real rush but if you're interested then let's meet, compare notes and go shopping / test driving to see if we like it!
