Yesterday Diamond Aircraft announced this landmark news on their website. Owners have until May 18th to participate:

I just completed the survey and I was surprised/disappointed at how cursory it was. While I understand even having this initial survey is sadly a huge step for Diamond, I was hoping to see at least a comment box for each of us to suggest possible future questions for Diamond to ask of us.

Regardless, Scott, I greatly appreciate all of the work you and the other leaders of DAN have completed in bringing Diamond to even begin asking us questions. Thank You.

Done but I wonder how many owners are aware of the survey at all because there's a lot of them out there (especially in Europe) who don't participate at this forum.

I know Emir has tried already. Does anybody else have ideas about how we could reach owners outside North America?

I don't know if this is available outside of North America but anyone can download the complete aircraft registration database for all N registers planes from the following FAA web site.

The registry includes the name and mailing address of the registrant as well as the plane's N number, serial number, manufacturer, model, year and a bunch of other information. As an example, a copy of the latest registration database for N registered DA40s is attached. Unfortunately there are no email addresses in the registry.


One way to contact all of them might be to just send out a snail mail post card mailer to this list.

Unfortunately, it isn't. For such info in Europe one should browse national registries and even if owner's name was available (which usually isn't for private owners), contact e-mail wouldn't be available and post address would be available only if the aircraft was owned by company.
