Due to Avionic issue happened to my Da40 couple days ago, my trip to the fly-in at Loveland, CO might have to be cancelled unless it get fixed soon before that.
Have fun and safe flight guys!!

Unfortunately I will not make the Fly In. I was intending to hang out in Colorado for a couple of weeks after a recent conference, but the air quality was so bad from the California wildfires that I decided to pack it in and head back to Atlanta on Sunday. I posted another topic about a crazy event on my way home

I agree with you on that. I can see the dramatic effect from Midwest.

And then there were 2 (planes). My wife decided we needed to pull in our trip to France by a month, so I'll be riding in a much bigger plane (with much less legroom) that weekend. Apologies for the late cancellation, but I want to keep her happy in order to get approval for the next round of DA42 upgrades.

I actually caught Covid while in Colorado last week. Positive PCR yesterday. Fully vax'ed so mild symptoms so far. Thought my cough was from the poor air quality, although I'm sure it didn't help. Glad I didn't hang out to infect anyone else. Be safe!

We are now at just Steve and I - two ancient DA40's - plus one other interested non-owner who lives in the area. Is no one else interested? That Austro oil pump issue in its forum also looks like a factor.

Still thinking about it. I haven’t logged in here for a while. Any details? Is there camping or what? I have a couple friends at Paine that might be interested

Greg, there's only 2 airplanes remaining (including mine) and Steve and I are on the verge of cancelling it because so few could make it. I haven't even thought about checking camping possibilities but it's probably not likely at this airport without things like security arrangements.

I figured we'd maybe consider going forward if we got a flurry of sign-ups today. But absent that, perhaps the NW gathering I proposed for next month-ish might work out better.

I guess it’s time to officially cancel this one. It’s just Steve Chalfin and I. Perhaps another time. It’s possible I might fly down there in the next week or so for my own reasons.
