Possible NW Diamond fly-in Fall-ish. 2021
This is really aimed at those who won’t be able to make the August one in Colorado, but certainly not limited to that group. I’m thinking Middle-late September in central Oregon. Yeah, I happen to live here, but it’s within just 2-3 flying hours from anywhere in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and even Northern California.
Bend would be good, as there is an on-field restaurant with ample views of runway and ramp activity. It’s pretty roomy also. There should be ample ramp space.
Here at Prineville we have lots of available ramp space. It’s pretty far from town, but I know of a local restaurant I could get to cater a dinner and I could likely wrangle one of the big hangars or the local EAA hangar (I’m a member). Fuel has typically been about the cheapest around.
Anyway, any interest/suggestions?

Great idea! I'm up in BC and would love an excuse to hit up Oregon - hopefully border restrictions loosen by then.
These regional meetup ideas are great!

That sounds great! I am planning to go on a road trip to Portland so hopefully I can swing by.

Depending on what happens with international travel restrictions in the next month, I may or may not be able to attend. I'm currently planning to be out of the country for several weeks starting 9/16, but if that gets put on hold then I'll be there. I think KBDN, KHIO, KMFR, and KMMV would all be great spots for a fly-in. KHIO may have more limited parking, although one of the FBOs might be willing to host us.

This is a great idea. Anywhere in OR is easy for me to attend as I'd be coming from Seattle.
FYI there is an Angel Flight gathering on Saturday Sept 18 in Salem. I am committed to going to that.

I had to bail on Colorado due to a house purchase/sale/move, then fixes...
I'd try to make Oregon.

I'd be interested in attending a September event.
Madras (S33) or McMinnville (KMMV) would both be interesting locations to consider as well since they both have large aviation museums. The Erickson Aircraft Collection museum is on the field in Madras and the Evergreen - Aviation and Space Museum is just across the road from the McMinnville airport.
