The vomited coolant on your engine looks terrible (and is clearly more than a cosmetic issue with all of the electrical connectors nearby). I have a Lycoming engine, so no aqueous fluids on board, but even my engine has all fluid overflows (crankcase breather, fuel pump leak tube, fuel spider overflow, snuffle valve drain, battery tray drain) routed out of the engine compartment. Is there a reason that the coolant pressure relief valve couldn't have a tube from it routed overboard, so at least if you did have a leak, the coolant would not short out components in your engine?
I'm not at all familiar with your type of engine, but I would sure be looking for some way to prevent this from happening again...
