I ordered mine in August 2021 to be delivered in Q3 2022. Just been pushed out to Q1 2023 due to delays bought on by Covid and staffing. Being made in Austria serial number 62-226.

Far better to take delivery in Q1 than Q3 as you will own a 2023 built aircraft.

Not necessarily. I took delivery of my DA40NG in February 2019, but it's designated a 2018 model.

In Europe it is the date of registration that dictates the year of manufacture but if you are happy to take a Q3 delivery then good luck.

Model years are rather imprecise for aviation purposes. We tend to use them, but the reality is in aviation it is the serial number that matters.
Therefore, I would be less concerned about if the plane was listed as 2022 or 2023 but more concerned about which version of the Garmin NXi was installed. (Note: this might already be moot, however I recall something about a Phase III NXi was coming, with timing not specified)

Last I heard (on this board), the Phase III NXi timing was July 2022 (possibly to coincide with a release in time for Oshkosh). Will also likely include a radar unit upgrade to the GWX75 (or possibly the new 8000). But that's all second-hand ...

Yes, it seems that way to me too ... wouldn't be surprised if my delivery slips into 2023 (currently week of 12/5, originally 3Q 2022) given the proximity to the year-end holiday ...

I think I’m the lucky (or luckless, depending on your point of view) buyer sitting on the bubble, awaiting the next Canadian-built DA62, 62.C041. Can anyone verify that 62.C040 has been delivered?
I received an update today with photos from the London production floor. My airplane now has wings, tail, engines and props, and a functional panel: all major sub-assemblies except an interior, it appears. Progress!
