I was under the impression that they will not actually install the 70, instead have all wiring ready and then have us go to a Diamond Service Center to get the 75 installed once it's approved.
That's also what I was told.

And see the "Diamond on Order" thread for an updated link to the renamed spreadsheet.

I'll verify with Diamond, but that's probably correct now that I think about it.

I was told that the GWX75 will be standard fit at some point in 2023 and have been offered the GWX80 as an optional upgrade for €12000

Is the GWX 80 the same as the GWX 8000? I was told y my dealer that upgrading from the GWX75 is a software install only, the hardware is the same. Anyone know of this is correct?

The GWX80 and GWX8000 are the same thing. At some point, Garmin changed the name because 8000 is more than 80 - therefore it must be better. I have a GWX8000 in the Piper M600 I fly. We upgraded it from the GWX75 that came with the plane. It was a software upgrade so presumably it would be the same for the DA62. The upgrade for the M600 cost $24k but in my case also included needed terrain suppression and turbulence detection upgrades to the GWX75 which made it more expensive. It was worth every penny. The GWX8000 is amazing.

My sales rep, Mike Farley, was able to get me some pictures of 62.C057 at the factory. Pictures are attached. Expecting delivery at some point in April!

FWIW, I'm also awaiting the availability of the Garmin GWX8000 to be certified for my Epic E1000. As a single-engine aircraft, the Epic will mount the 10" GWX8000 in a pod located out on the right wingtip.

That plane is already pre-wired for radar (power + an Ethernet cable running back to the G1000 NXi). However we don't yet know what it will cost or a projected availability date.

In the meantime without onboard weather radar (that I used to have in my DA62), I need to stay visual on potential thunderstorm cells. Fortunately that's a lot easier than in the DA62 since we're often cruising above the weather at FL330 or FL340 -- where we normally fly to minimize turbine fuel burn.

That's the standard Orange and Graphite scheme from the brochure?? Love the color...it's almost a perfect UT burnt orange!

That is correct! There are two standard options on the orange--a "light" sunset orange over anthracite gray and a "dark" sunset orange over anthracite gray. I was told they are very similar, but Premier recommended the light sunset orange so that is what I went with.

I have 62.C053, to be delivered in a few weeks. I've updated the contract to come with GWX75. The deal is that it either comes with the 75, or it comes pre-wired (no radar), and they will install the 75 at a service center, no extra cost.
