Wanted

Partner for Diamond DA40 single engine four seat certificated airplane.

To be based at Montrose airport.

Responsible low hour licensed pilot seeks another licensed pilot to share costs for owning and flying this fantastic airplane. Aircraft purchase price would be approx $ 200,000 - 300,000 depending on age / hours / equipment. 50/50 ownership is preferred arrangement. No groups, no commercial use, no flight school use - high level of care expected.

Would also consider a three person partnership, or would be happy to rent your Diamond DA40 at a very fair rate.

At this time I am only interested in Diamonds.

Thanks for looking - happy to chat - I'm a middle age building contractor working out of Montrose.

Please leave a message for me at 720-515-3434

I have made up an ownership cost spreadsheet that is very detailed. Happy to share with anyone serious about buying a DA40.

I'm not sure if the DAN will notify me if someone responds to one of these posts, so if you do respond but don't hear from me, try me at

May 2023 update

I'm still looking for a partner for a DA40. Lately I've been flying a 172 with a glass panel. Fun to be in the air but it's not a Diamond !

Maybe I need to broaden my reach a bit - not be so restrictive as to number of partners, use, location, etc. Here's a local ad I posted a few days ago :

https://westslope.craigslist.org/avo/d/ ... 99157.html

If anyone has any comments / constructive criticism, I'm open. If I lived in a big metro area I know I'd have some bites, but out here in Western Colorado most people don't even know what a Diamond is, much less have a few hundred thousand to kick in to a partnership.

Guess I should have bought Bitcoin back when it was $300 ...
