Good morning all. I did all my multi-engine training in a DA42 with G1000 and it had visual approaches (in addition to RNAV and GPS etc). I've been in a DA62 for the last few days, and it doesn't have the option to “load” a visual approach. It's odd, because this DA62 is loaded, I don't think any expensive was spared. Both the cirrus and the 172 (multiple) that have the NXI have a visual approach option.
What's going on? What don't I know?
No “visual approach” option...

Visual approaches are part of the "Phase III" release of the Garmin G1000 NXi software for Diamond Aircraft. Per this update (scroll to the third item), it's available for DA42-VI and DA50 RG models, and not yet for the DA40, DA40NG, or DA62.
Can you confirm details about the DA42 you flew for your multi-engine training? What was the tail number?
