Post by dwurfel »

Would love to get some reccos on cleaner/polisher for my Diamond windows. I have notices some small scratches under certain light that I am wondering if I can fill in with same product or another. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much. :bow :bow

The best plexiglass cleaner I found was furniture polish, or wax, they sell a version of this at aircraft spruce marketed for aircraft.

Any wax based cleaner should work, mindful to always use a clean designated microfiber cloth and don’t rub hard to prevent micro scratches from dust.

If my plexiglass has collected a lot of dirt/dust I like to start by spraying it with water first to get rid of it, or at
least dilute it, so that it doesn’t act like an abrasive. Then I use Wash Wax All and a microfiber cloth. I tried disposable 3M aircraft paper towels and didn’t like them. The microfiber cloths from Wash Wax All are really nice. I buy new ones once a year. If it’s below freezing I use a California Car Brush very gently for the dust and then Plexus after that. I like clean plexiglass, but the scratches come from the cleaning so I don’t have to have it perfect for every flight.
