I trimmed off those clips on the RAM mount with a Dremel and it allows using the built-in magnetic grasping/charging of the iPad .

Same as Dave, Foreflight on the iPad, and a small kneeboard with “Legal size” paper and pen for copying clearances, frequencies, weather, etc. Works perfectly.
