Re: How long do your annuals take?
For a DA42, Aero Maintenance at KLGB told me the annual is about a 35 hours job, plus any squawks and potential delay in waiting for parts. So, 2-3 weeks is very typical.

Dropped off at KFTW May 17. Picked it up yesterday. I cannot say enough good things about David Seastead and his team.

Never lasted more than 3 days (DA42), always had parts preordered and then when confirmed flew to the shop.

Re: How long do your annuals take?
When handed off for annual mine were usually ~3 days. There were a couple of exceptions, notably when my engine was found to be "making metal" from the cam/lifters - engine work took 3 months. Another case was back when the rudder cables were replaced under the old 5-year rule. I think that was a week.
Being retired, these days I do owner-assisted annuals and commonly turn an annual around in a single day when nothing pops up. But a couple of things go into that. My IA trusts me to take care of a couple of the time-consuming routine things prior. Such as the oil change and wheel bearing greasing. Things I might want to undertake are scheduled separately, such as the prop overhaul last year. So the annual inspection is only that - an inspection.

Wow, that's impressive. Do you fly all the way from the PNW to Dallas? How much was your annual, all-in?

The plane had a 2 x USB-A module already installed by the prior owner. I swapped it out for a USB-C + USB-A module (True Blue TA202).

Re: How long do your annuals take?
I don't have a photo of the actual port handy, and I probably won't get out to the plane for a few days to take one, but it's located under the circuit breaker panel where the yellow oval is in the photo below. It's definitely not easy to access "on the fly", but I keep a cable for the iPad plugged into the USB-C port and affixed under the glare shield, running across to where I have it mounted at the far left (not shown here).
