Very exciting - can’t wait to see it! It should be retrofittable to other 62s but I would imagine to do so would not be cheap… thanks and congrats!

Re: Business configuration (STC 62-002)
My primary mission will either be 2-4 people and bags. After sitting in the backseat in a DA62 for over an hour, my lower back was tight. So with reclining 2 row possibly coming available, I jumped on it. Luckily, my daughters (20 and 16) are "fun sized" at 5' and 5'1"...ACCTHA9 wrote: Fri Mar 01, 2024 6:48 am now u might need a 20 kg drumbell in the front assuming u have AC...
gL with that. tbh. 4 seater is totally enough. having 6 seat... the last 2 row barely can seat as its so small and cg shift backward
the middle row with 3 seat, is already hard to sit with 3 people tbh. its similar to sitting on a honda civic.
I mostly fly 4 sole otherwise 5 but with kids.

Re: Business configuration (STC 62-002)
62.288 was delivered last Thursday and I thought I'd give a pirep on the business seating config with some additional pics.
The seats are the same as the copilot... lumbar adjustments and reclining are fantastic! Very comfortable!! The cupholders are small but will fit a standard 10-12oz plastic water bottle and there's 2 more under the armrest that are slightly smaller in diameter. Both pull out easily, so I don't imagine it'd be too difficult to fabricate something else if you need a bigger cup holder or whatever. The seats are attached via an interface shell that positions the seats a bit further back than the 3-person bench seat. That means that shell sticks out in front and people with shorter legs will have their calves resting against it. I'm 5'8" and it was bothersome enough that I'm already brainstorming some kind of solution for bringing my feet up slightly or maybe cushioning the shell. But people with longer leg geometry do just fine. On top of that, it's not pretty and doesn't match the finish of the rest of the interior. This shell is the biggest downside to the seats so far, but one possible bright side may be that the protrusion might work as a bit of a step for entering and exiting rather than stepping directly onto the seat. There's also going to be more of an entry/exit challenge for someone getting into the right passenger seat since you cannot slide over as you can with the bench seat. The seats fold forward quite easily while standing outside or sitting in the 3rd row. Just pull up on a red bar on the back side of the seat. Overall, I'm very happy I was able to get them. The upsides far outweigh the downsides for me. Everyone that's tried them out and has spent time sitting on the 3-person bench says they are way more comfortable. Hopefully the folks at the Canadian factory also spent some time checking out the seats and will offer it as an option at some point.
I don't have any knowledge of whether or not that will happen or if Diamond will ever make them available for retrofit.

Re: Business configuration (STC 62-002)
Great PIREP! I'm looking forward to my Executive seat config in October. Mine is a tan interior so I may be looking to get some aircraft upholstery to put onto the tray to match the tan leather. Now if they can just come up with a solid solution for the MSB -043 I'll be really happy!

Our DA62 has a tan interior and the arm rest is tan. I would expect the console to be the same tan color.
I don't see why not, with all the money they save on cheap bearing bolts and pistons...
