My fully equipped 2008XLS is 846 lbs. 801 sounds really low.

I've long believed that as Diamond started to produce the NG, with its higher max landing weight and max zero fuel weight, that the Lycoming version acquired some of the necessary beefier structure to support it. This is due to the logical inference that parts commonality would be adopted. Depending on exactly when the relevant components were made, that started to happen right around that time frame. Note that the only post-08 entry here on the wiki shows 811 lb.

I just took a quick look and found this with a useful load sub-800 lb.

Weren't those the DA40F variant which were equipped with fixed pitch props?
