MFD RED X's
I am aware that a similar topic was addressed a few years ago. I am reaching out to the group's experience to see if anyone can offer a path to trouble shoot to a solution. Flown yesterday in Hot, Humid conditions. 2008 DA40 XLS, 985 hours. Thank you.

Re: MFD RED X's
Is it consistently a red X now or just the hot day you flew? Have you seen any other flaky behavior? Your manifold pressure and tank sensors go into the GEA71 engine/airframe unit and it would be unusual for all to go bad simultaneously. In my opinion, it's more likely a link between LRU's and the most suspect on our airframe are the GIA63W avionics units under the luggage compartment floor board. The GEA71 feeds its info to the two redundant GIA63W's. There are a number of DAN threads that discuss how you can carefully remove, spray connectors with a high grade contact cleaner, and CAREFULLY reinsert. I have done this 2 or 3 times successfully on my 2008 XLS. Check out the system block diagram on page 1-4 (p 10 in the pdf):

You should always check the AUX page with the list of LRU's as well when faults occur.

Re: MFD RED X's
Thank you for your reply. The X's showed on a Hot, Humid flight. I have not flown since. When powered up on the ground the issue replacates as per the picture. No other flakey behaviour. I will follow your advice and advise.

Re: MFD RED X's
The first thing you might want to try is dump and analyze the G1000 logs. They may give you an indication of what LRU is having problems. The good news is that the problem replicable, which makes it a lot easier to debug than if it is intermittent.
