Re: Diamond in NEW MS Flight Simulator

Amazing that they got my plane IN my hangar for the simulation.

I hope I can land at Meigs Field again.

Re: Canopy Latch gas strut

Gorge Aviation Services, Dallesport, WA did work on my DA42 at KHIO and they were great.

Northwest Aviation on the field at KHIO was also really good and helpful.

Wolfgang that is some great flying. I loved the video. If I were Diamond I'd give you a DA62 and ask you to do it again with more cameras and better audio recording equipment.

Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up

I am, currently, considering moving to a DA62 from my DA42. The new Diamond Aircraft Industry's attitude about the software will have a GREAT deal of influence on my decision. Even currently DA62 owners seem stuck without some features. As a guy who spends (probably too much) time staring at screens...

I tried but I couldn't get the Icon A5 to enter a spin. It's a strange craft.

Re: 200lb Useful Load Increase?

I have no doubt that some of the regulations are blunt instruments. I think there is quite a bit of evidence that the MU-2 should not have been certified in whatever manner it was. And I am certain there are times when it is simply a paperwork issue. I wish that DAI had the marketing smarts, enginee...

Re: DA62 down in Dubai

Per flight hour and per plane this might make the DA62 the deadliest Diamond model.

Re: Diamond Owners Being Taken Advantage Of - Maintenance

I will be very interested to hear about Take Flight, since they are a lot closer to me (at least when I am based at OWD) than any of the other shops I've been using regularly.

What shop are people using in the Seattle area?

Re: 200lb Useful Load Increase?

The regulations in aviation are "written in blood." If you are flying your plane outside the limits in the POH you are, according to DAI, a test pilot. I got into this venture with an eye toward reducing my risk and *knowing* my risk ahead of time. Saying that someone arbitrarily decided when the pl...

Re: Diamond Owners Being Taken Advantage Of - Maintenance

We need a wiki of shops and various experiences with them. I assume that you don't want to travel too far. I just have a relatively good experience with SouthTec Aviation, KRUQ, but they are quite far north of you. Do you mean that you have already dealt with Premiere, since they are the place near ...
