G1000 Legacy & FS210
I have a 205 DA40 with 345R and the Legacy Non WAAS G1000. GPU software 9.15 - While at Oshkosh I asked the Garmin folks if the FS210 would allow me to transfer my flight plan to my G1000. I asked three people and got three different answers. Maybe, should be able, pretty sure you can. Nothing solid...

Nose strut tolerance of wiggle?
During my annual the A&P found a tiny bit of "wiggle" (side to side) when you grab the nose strut and move it side to side. It appears to be up where the journal bearings are. Is there a tolerance? I can't find anything in the maintenance manual. It's probably no more than a few thousa...

Re: winter baffles & CHT Temps
Andrew: I am living in Tenn. now but apparently 45 degs. is still not cold enough to need the winter kit. I removed it and my temps are back to normal now.

Re: Real A/C in my DA40
I am not an engineer so I can only speak from my own experience and personal knowledge. When flying there is definitely a suction in the tailcone. I’ve never measured it but as far as affecting the efficiency Of the air conditioner it does not appear to have any effect my AC is certainly working fin...

Re: winter baffles & CHT Temps
OK Thanks Rich, I'll give it a shot and see what my oil temps turn out to be. Worst case I can tape off part of the oil cooler if needed.

winter baffles & CHT Temps
I've been using my winter baffles. Air temp 30F-45F and I notice my CHT on Cyl #1 keeps running around 400-420 if I lean. Normally I am around 385F.
I am wondering if the baffle is my problem.

Re: SureFly Electronic Ignition
I installed a SureFly about a year ago and also experienced some sudden loss of power incidents. I replaced my fuel pump and changed all my plugs to fine wire but the problem persisted. Yesterday during a 3 hr. flight I had two "burgles", each lasting only a second or two but upon landing ...
