I made tracks for my plane on hinges that flip out to guide the plane into the hanger, and flip them closed to close the door. It is practically impossible to hit the wing along as you have the mains in the track!

Who does their own oil changes and at what frequency. 50hrs is the norm but I have a notion to do mine every 25 to 30 hrs. Grant, if you can move the trim wheel (independent of the A/P trim) and the trim tab doesn't move you've got a problem with your trim control linkage. A gunked-up damper rod alone makes the trim inordinately stiff. (BTW, I looked up N414DS and the FAA shows it as the registered number for a Cessna ...
