Re: G1000 NXi Fundamentals eLearning Course
Diamond leads in many areas, but avionics is not one of them. Fortunately, there is more to an airplane than avionics. I would not trade my DA 40NG for a C182 or SR20 with the latest updates. But that doesn’t stop me from wishing Diamond did a better job of keeping my avionics current. Good to know...

Re: Considering New DA40
I am so glad to read this BEFORE I placed my order. I will speak to my sales rep and if this is still case I'm not buying a Diamond. Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk What did your sales rep have to say? What are you going to buy instead? He is looking into it. Researching Tecnam P2010 TDI... Sen...

Re: Considering New DA40 "NG"
In general, Diamond's post sale avionics support has been somewhere between non-existent and very weak. A DA40NG NXi phase II delivered in 2019 has had no avionics software updates since delivery. Our NXi software is about 4yrs behind the features in a Cirrus Perspective+ system, which is the same ...

Re: Considering New DA40 "NG"
Do you need to slide the seats back for exit/entrance (like a 172)? Or pretty much set and forget?

Re: 1.7 Engines
The Tecnam P2010 now offers Continental diesel 1.7 engine with US certification any day now... It's called the P2010 TDI.
Is that 1.7 engine different than the one in this thread?

Re: Canted Nose Wheel
Ya seems canted to right and as explained in the Fin thread that's wrong and it should be to the left. Unfortunately, my home airport runway nearly always has crosswind from the left so I guess I'll need the Fin if I buy the NG. Wow spending half a million $ and need to buy a Fin... Hm... Sent from...

Since I'm planning to order a new NG, perhaps this is something Diamond can legally install and throw in for me. I'll certainly ask...

Re: New Nose Wheel Fin
Al Simmons received his fin. We designed a new fin to replace the original design fin to fit the 2001-2003 and the diesel DA, so that was the hold up. New to the forum and read every post in this thread but still unclear... Is this problem an issue with the DA40 "NG" model too? if so, is ...
