Re: Winter Kit- High CHT and Low Oil Temps
Aluminum tape and approximately 50% of cooler covered in my case also. Last year I did not take it off in summer either and there were no issues with oil temps. I’m based at Keene NH. Hello MySands. Can you post a photo? The $300 part seems excessive and like the ability to adjust flow by adding or...

Re: How much fuel do you typically keep in the tanks?
We have a 3 person partnership and due to the W/B and not wanting to remove fuel, we have everyone leave the plane with less than 25 gallons. Each pilot is able to work W/B however they need that matches their flight plan. We bill a wet time of 10 gal/hour and use a card that gets rewards for fuel p...

Re: Kool Scoops
Highly recommended!!!! I have these installed on both my windows. I LOVE these. Provides great cooling. They were installed on my aircraft when purchased in April 2023. They are for ground operations abd work best when canopy is locked in the open position. They aren’t approved during flight but I’...

Re: Rear door primary latch opening. ( I searched I swear)
Speaking from experience, fixing the rear latch is a bitch of a job. We did not remove the door but the contortions I went through ...ugh!! I am so lucky to have had Dick Filby at SouthTec help me do it.....he and I share a Da40 based at KBUY so we did it together in the hangar. Please let me know ...

Re: Rear door primary latch opening. ( I searched I swear)
Wow, that sounds like a hassle to repair. So apparently some shops have figured it out. Anyone know a Northeast shop to fix this issue with good success?

Rear door primary latch opening. ( I searched I swear)
I went through 6 pages of posts to find an answer and the problem seems to be a little different. Our primary latch for the rear passenger door will open, triggering the door ajar alert. The secondary latch has proven to keep the door closed and Ive been able to reach behind to push the primary latc...

Re: Tail tiedown hook
We use the tieboss. https://tieboss.com/collections/all-pro ... ss-15-rope
The square side of the hook fits perfectly into the rear of the tail.

Re: Tiny divots repair on leading edges
While not gel coat, it is very similar by the way of repairs, no? The "puddy" needed/sold is something a good boat guy would easily handle. But if filling those "tiny" spots and sanding down the other poorly repaired spots is something we can do, I would like to know for sure.
