Re: Just Discovered GTN 750

@scotsman58 I believe the solution would be to do a 337 to remove the G1000 STC (this is paperwork only) then a 337 to install and upgrade a supposedly steam-gauge aircraft. If you pulled the entire G1000 (wires and all) I believe there might be some good resale value for it on the used market. I'm ...

Re: Just Discovered GTN 750

Just watched the youtube promo video on the 750. Looks great. My 40 goes in this week for the GTX345R install. I'm told it is compatible with many other boxes besides the G1K (ie GTN 750). One day......

Tug: ThunderVolt (4Sale)

I'm selling this ThunderVolt tug. Website for the new ones is: https://www.powertow.com/ThunderVolt-12-Volt-DC-Aircraft-Tug-_p_17.html Reason, got tired of switching between tailwheel and nosewheel configuration so I purchased one of those noisy drive under tracked radio controlled things. Don't rem...

Re: MTOW/MLW experience

Rich I wonder what those prices would be today. Below are the prices for the taller landing gear which get installed the middle of the month (at KRDM). BTW - I'm changing because of the type of fields I operate on and because the current 18mm legs are slightly bent. I suspect they can be straightene...

Re: What circuit breaker is the Hobbs meter generally connected to on DA40s?

... 2. Accessory socket. I've removed the accessory socket and replaced with a Stratus USB powered off the avionics master, with its own breaker. I'd like to do this one day. I've a USB charger and Stratux that I plug into that socket. Have almost left it plugged in several times. Eventually I'll s...

Re: What circuit breaker is the Hobbs meter generally connected to on DA40s?

Looking at this diagram and recalling a thread about the Hobbs running when the battery gets run down (pilot dome light left on). I'm wondering how that happens. Do I remember incorrectly?

Notice Tommy's reference to "Throttle, Flaps, Gear".

Tommy, I wonder if APR was having fun with the TWR using you as a dart to see if they could dodge it.

On my DA40 this only happens on the right wing. Thought mine was the only one that did this. Ha

I'm not familiar with the VM1K but isn't there a way to calibrate it like most totalizers?

Re: Fuel gauge display is intermittent

Greg, What year 40 is this? What environment is it in on the ground (hangar, ramp, humid near the coast, dry in the desert). So to reiterate, you are saying that both fuel probes on the left wing seem to be affected. If so... - Either both probes have been contaminated in someway (unlikely but possi...
