Sorry Peter, I have had many traffic reports, just not on my perceived shadows.
I might add that these shadows seem to appear on high density, high moisture days.

TAS
I have the Avidyne TAS600 traffic that was factory installed. I have had several occasions where it indicates traffic that follows me around. I believe that it is just a shadow of myself  . I have never had a traffic warning with it. I have heard that this can be a result of antenna spacing...

Re: Oshkosh AirVenture 2018 anyone?
I made it oshkosh on Wednesday morning. I slipped nicely into line at Ripon and got the 36l arrival at fisk. This is my first flight into Oshkosh and it was amazing. Airplanes everywhere. After landing my da40 went backwards. The aux fuel pump failed, right main went flat and the battery drained to ...

Re: GTX33ES
The lack of response answers my question. Dave your answer is the one everyone has been talking about for the past how many years? I would like to say more but... I will have more soon enough.

Re: fuel burn da40
I did a lot of circuits for my night rating. Finished IFR in June all in my DA40. I did not use much more than that.
There are as many very low power settings as high in the circuit. It seems to balance out to same as cruising if not less.

Re: Go around button on xls throttle?
They have an awesome sim too if the weather craps out. Check out their website www.dfclondon.com
In the fleet tab click on the FTD-da42 level 5. I have over 20hrs in it for my IFR and Multi. nice unit and cheaper than flying.

I got my IFR training in London at the Diamond Flight Centre, they are fantastic. Same ownership as the factory but operates separately in their own building. Definitely be money well spent.

Re: Go around button on xls throttle?
I would highly recommend that you find an instructor that can do that for you. It will save you a lot of time and money not to mention you are missing out on many of the features that make this airplane so great.

Re: Hartzell Composite Prop Overhaul?
What did your prop end up costing Charlie. I just got a quote from Hope for $7800CAD. (6200 US) Mine did not need to go to the US for the blade work. It did need a new leading edge from a stone I picked up last year. Seems very excessive compared to what I hear from others on this site. I am very di...
