The fuel transfer pump did not work, or the emergency fuel transfer valve path did not work?
I don’t understand why this would ground the plane. Using the valve would be inconvenient, but should transfer fuel as quickly as the pump.

Re: Fuel transfer breaker popping
Are you using the "emergency" transfer valve as the work around, or did you ground the plane?ScottOHare wrote: ↑Sun Sep 11, 2022 11:44 pm Looks like the fuel transfer pump on my 2019 NG just gave up the ghost. Was the replacement service a big deal? I'm looking at a local KDIJ mechanic for this one, I think.

Re: Orlando - Diamond DA42 accident flipped high winds
It's interesting that the 26G is no longer cited on the DAI website under the Safety Concept. There is a link to the DA62 crash test video, but it links to "This video is Private" so whomever is managing the website didn't set the YouTube permissions properly, or they have actively decided...

DA62 rental in NorCal?
Is anyone aware of a DA62 available for rent in Northern California? I've been trying to get my ME in a 62 at Angel City in Long Beach for six months and have encountered a series of scheduling issues so I'm looking for alternatives. I know there is a DA42 in Palo Alto, but I'd like to do my trainin...

Re: Orlando - Diamond DA42 accident flipped high winds
The engine on the high wing would have dropped from an altitude of about 30'. Dropping 4,000lbs from 22' - 30' (help me physicists) is a lot of force on the "roll bar". It's a lot, but it's not 26Gs! This is definitely something to keep an eye on. I think the 26Gs is for a frontal collisi...

Re: GPS Error?
Since the Stratus / FF combo agreed with radar, it's not likely a GPS system (i.e., sat signals) problem. The course correction, when you switched from G1000 to FF is clearly visible on FlightAware which is from your ADS-B out data. That means your G1000 GPS position was correct. That leaves a Garmi...

Re: DA40 NG Aux power usage
You can definitely use a ground power unit to power up the G1000. Plug it in, turn the key and Avionics to ON. The Engine page should show the battery at ≈ 28.7v. The battery will not be discharged. I have no knowledge about running the AC, but that draws a lot more current and may be dependent upon...
