Re: Quebec City Recommendations
CNV9 is one of the nicest small fields we have ever flown into. It is right out of the Lesage control area. Very welcoming people. Read the Foreflight reviews. Also brief the local VFR procedures. I would not go to Lesage. Tons of attitude, even with the controllers. Quebec City is a wonderful desti...

Re: Portable Oxygen Systems
According to their website , it appears so: Thanks. What I still find confusing is this adapter is also sold: Aircraft Spruce . I was in the FBO watching the fill yesterday and they seem to use an adapter to go from the standard thread to the filling port on the cylinder. The Aerox website is a lit...

Re: Portable Oxygen Systems
Does anyone know which spec the Aerox portable cylinders use - is it CGA 540? I have decided to do my own filling since the local FBO charges $50. Thanks.

“… Law school. Kids. Tuition. More tuition. Then more tuition followed by weddings. Four girls. Decided to fly…”
Could have written the same thing, except the plane came before the weddings.

Just learned about this today.

It will be interesting to follow the certification process. This will be a game changer if successful.

Re: Used Aircraft Market
It will be interesting to see how interest rate increases and a nascent recession will affect the demand side of the equation… I wouldn’t call this a “bubble” but I do think we are headed for a correction in used aircraft pricing in general. I would add the stock market correction to this list. “We...

Re: Nose landing gear painting
I don’t agree with your friend. To me it looks like oil has loosened the paint, or maybe poor initial adhesion. It does not look serious.

Re: G1000/GFC700 AFCS Faults in Turbulence
The only autopilot error I have experienced was is severe cold air (-25C or colder). It lasted the whole flight but never returned.
I have flown through some rough air and it has always held. Now I often disconnect the AP in rough convective air to let the plane move a little more.

…' This is all political as TC cannot offer any better insight to what the FAA or Boeing can but once again they feel compelled to "put their stamp" on it. … Exactly. Call it regulatory scent marking. It is very similar to the ADS-B diversity issue. If they don’t do something different, t...

Re: Field Repair For Nicks in MT Props
You may want to use scotch tape backing and put a blob over the damage. Let it cure thoroughly, a few days at least, then trim down to the blade profile with sanding or filing. They say you can use 5 min epoxy, but I did a similar repair to the LE with a longer cure. I find that you get a stronger b...
