Friends, we recently bought a 2nd hand DA42. We noticed that we are loosing TKS fluid, when the TKS tank is completely filled... I know the company and had the pleasure to do 2 hours in it... What you can not see from the picture is the extremly large screen... more than 6 meters high!

As many of you know it is possible to read out G1000 Log Files (Engine Parameters, GPS Data, etc.) in the Lycoming Version of the DA40's. Yes you are right.... Only the Glass IS changed.. So no issue with the fit... Learnt this meanwhile form diamond.. So my issue is solved.. Thx

Hi, I thought that all DA42's were prepared for TKS. The early ones (2005) were delievered with plastic coveres (instead of TKS), as certification was not ready. The TKS was then installed later. However not sure if this was done for all.... Does yours have plastic covers or is it a solid leading ed...

we fly two thielerts.. both 2.0L ... one in a C172, the other one in a DA40... had bigger problems in getting the 2.0L Thielert in the DA40 started during winter.. the C172 always was doing fine... after many tries it turned out the the fuel injectors were the problem... now its better...
