It looks like it would be really straightforward to check if this interference actually occurs, so I wonder why the MSB isn't conditional on that? If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Re: CD-155 Temporary power loss
Hi keith With our CD 155 we faced just after take off this loss power 2 times in the last 3 month , during the last 100 h visit , our mecanic found excessive contamination in the filter before the HI Pump , we was very surprised as we drained very well before flight and use Jet A exclusively . Re: R44 piece and discussion on safety culture
Correction: touchdown speed in a DA40 is, of course, nearly 60mph, not 80!

Re: R44 piece and discussion on safety culture
I have no complaints about the primary safety characteristics of my DA40D, but the issue of off-field landings has to be considered. When I chose it over an SR20, I asked for AmSafe seatbelts to be fitted, but was informed they were not available for that model. This concerned me, as 3-point seatbel...

Re: CD-155 Temporary power loss
Hi Pierre, that must have been seriously alarming and, having got away with an EFATO with my CD-135, I don't think I would have the confidence to risk a recurrence if it had happened to me. My aircraft is in for its annual now, so it'll be interesting to hear what the state of its fuel filter is.

Re: CD-155 Temporary power loss
Agreed. I hope they resolve this issue quickly, if only because there are cheaper ways to test the brakes!

CD-155 Temporary power loss
I've just received the attached service letter from Technify warning that several temporary power losses of 3-6 seconds duration have been reported, the majority shortly after take-off. Suggested actions to minimize this risk are: Make sure that the fuel is sufficiently drained prior to the flight a...

Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up
The bottom line: your plane is way back on GDU Version 5, some of the oldest G1000 software still in use. :( Thanks Dave. That makes sense, as I had the choice of steam gauges or the G1000, when I ordered the plane, so the transition to new technology at Diamond had just begun. I wonder if it has h...

Re: Outdated Garmin G1000 software - petition sign-up
My DA40 TDI airframe serial number is D4.222, which was manufactured in 2006, with its last software update in 2007. Its G1000 doesn't display a software version number, but my maintenance organisation informs me it's 010-00370-17. Does anybody know where that fits into Garmin's software release his...
