Bolzano (LIPB), Italian Alps, a nice airport to fly to. Spectacular valley from the south to get there, but no doubt equally impressive to fly there from Switzerland or Austria. Be sure to make no mistake about on which side of the airport the circuit lies!
You need a special permit to fly there IFR, corkscrewing all the way down. But the way to enjoy it is VFR anyway..

Re: Bolzano, Italy
Ahh, so that was that yellow van with that big euro sign on it screaming on the taxiway towards me!Antoine wrote:Very nice Aart. What about this crazy italian luxury tax?
Glad I got my take-off clearance just in time. Like in most countries, the authorities usually don't coordinate too well
Actually, my visit was before they announced this crazy tax, and I stayed less than 24 hrs anyway. Come to think of it, maybe this luxury tax is not at all enforced and just meant to show to the international financial community that 'Italy is getting serious about taxation'. Maybe some Italian DAN member can provide some clarity on all this...
