My wife and I are heading to Australia in March to visit Sydney, the GBR, and the Barossa Valley. Do any of the Aussies here want to meet up and maybe do some flying? I don't think I can bring the 40XL along due to the baggage weight limits (although Kai never lets that stop him).
We'll be in Sydney 12/3-14/3 and near Adelaide 20/3-26/3 in case the timing works for anybody.

G'Day Chris
Must have missed this thread...
I am in Melbourne, and am working in Singapore the week you are in Sydney. Will have a look at the work schedule as my parents are in Adelaide, any excuse for a fly!
If you get a chance to get to Melbourne we can go for a fly, my plane is based at Pt Cook, an Air Force base that has a great museum and flying displays 3 times a week.
Cheers
Robin

Chris
If you get the chance do the seaplane trip whilst on the GBR Great Barrier Reef. A few years ago we chartered the sea plane, Cessna Caravan. The plane picked us up from our yacht and flew us out to the reef and Whitehaven Beach.
A great day!
Cheers

Re: Heading Down Under
Thanks for the tips, Robin! We currently have a short flight set up from Lizard Island back to Cairns, but a trip down to the Whitsundays sounds pretty nice.
We were in Melbourne a couple of years ago and loved it!
