Back in the day...
I got my PPL flying out of Princeton Airport (39N) in 1974. Within a month I flew into Washington National (now Reagan International), and I flew into KPHL several times, where I used to taxi right up to the commercial gates where my passenger would unload with his luggage. I would drop him off for his outgoing commercial flight, and his luggage would be loaded right onto his flight out.
