DA40 2007 XL for sale (based in UK)

Post by ThomasD »

Hi all,

Unfortunately I have a medical issue which means I will have to stop flying sometime in the next year or so.
I know it takes time to sell, so I am now putting my much loved DA40 on the market.
N215DS, based at Gloucester UK (EGBJ) so I have done the European import, the VAT etc. Private sale so there is no VAT to pay.

DA40-XL with IO360M1A, MT 3-blade prop, Sep 2007, currently 378 hours TTSN, 5-year rudder cables & fuel hoses done, 6-year prop overhaul will be done in Sept, maintained by Diamond UK, NDH, owned by me since Aug-2008 [sole owner, sole pilot - had less than 40 hours when I bought it so I know it has had a 'good life'].
G1000 with GFC700 and all other usual avionics, 50 gal tanks, TAWS-B, TCAS, extended baggage, mode-S, PowerFlow exhaust, elec. adj. rudder pedals, AmSafe airbags (front), all logs, winter kit, performance landing, 1,200Kg MTOW, electronic CO detector, integral panel illumination.
Annual due & FAR renewals due Jul-2014.

Great for getting around Europe and avoiding the cattle-market security lines at airports. Done some memorable trips - Geneva, Munich, Paris, S. of France, Spain all in a single hop from Gloucester/Bristol - as well as flying into Berlin, Amsterdam Schiphol and other trips e.g. around Ireland and other parts of Europe.
There are some trip reports on DAN 2223, 2224 and 2227 (you can see it is good on fuel, and not flown hard).

If you Google N215DS you can find some photos, PM me for more.

Let me know if you are interested and we can discuss the price..

Tom
