I will do whatever I can do attend a PWN event! I think the limiting factor would be weather if I haven't finished my IR by then. Though maybe I could convince my CFII to go hah.

I've been to the Evergreen museum but not the Erickson. If you walk between the Evergreen museum and the airport, it's like the old Frogger game, for those who might remember.MarkA wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 7:08 pm I'd be interested in attending a September event.
Madras (S33) or McMinnville (KMMV) would both be interesting locations to consider as well since they both have large aviation museums. The Erickson Aircraft Collection museum is on the field in Madras and the Evergreen - Aviation and Space Museum is just across the road from the McMinnville airport.

Shall we get a bit serious about this? Anywhere in WA, OR, ID is a single roughly 1-2 hour flight for me and can easily be done IFR. I suggested Central Oregon to try to strike a balance for those in Eastern ID (Scott, e.g.) But Western OR works fine for a lot of us. How about McMinnville? What about dates?

McMinnville may be the best bet that time of year but I would make an effort to attend any location.

Scott and I had a practice Fly-In at Arlington (KAWO) today . It would be good to try again for a PNW gathering sometime in the spring.

I go to Bend several times a year so would be interested in coming. McMinnville is also a nice location. Not only the museum, but also a lot of vineyards in the area. I flew into McMinnville about a month ago to pick up my second dog from the breeder. Was so cold that DA was -1,700' when I got AWOS for my departure!

Wow! The fog was super bad everywhere. I was at Paine playing around with the plane and it was very sketchy indeed. I think 1/4mi visibility and VV001 ? AWO looks very nice compared to that and it's not THAT far away!

Hi Dant - KAWO was very VFR for a few hours on Sunday afternoon. Needless to say the pattern got busy VERY quickly . When I was preparing to fly back to KRNT it was reporting VFR but once I was in the air it was back to 1000 OVC so not too bad
