Re: Nav data update for G1000 simulator
Ok, so I was able to unhide the files and uploaded them into the winfs_mount folder. The dual trainer opens, but I get this error message on the PFD and the Navigation file isn't updated on the MFD. Any ideas???

Here are screenshots of my file folders, Please take a look at them and compare your file placements. Let me know if they don't match or if this way off?

I believe you're putting the files in the incorrect folder.
You need to put all the files from the SD cards (both NAV and Supplemental data files) in a folder the simulator created automatically when you logged into to your PC and ran the simulator the first time. You can find this folder as follows:
C:\Users\<<YourWindowsLoginID>>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Diamond DA40 Trainer v12.00\winfs_mount\
Where <<YourWindowsLoginID>> is replaced with the Windows login ID you use when you login to your PC to run the simulator.

I finally got around to reinstalling the software, then copied the above mentioned files. Everything seems to work, but no Flitecharts? I have the subscription, but which files do I need and where do they get copied to?

We don't have a Flitecharts subscription so I don't know what files are associated with them or where the simulator would store them. There is a file called "charts.img" in the C:\Program Files (x86)\ folder where you installed the simulator that you might try to replace with the one of the same name from the SD card (if it exists) to see if that works.

Re: Nav data update for G1000 simulator
I was able to guess at it and was right. The fc_tpc file on the SD card gets copied to the above mentioned folder, winfs_mount folder. The approach charts are contained in the fc_tpc folder. The mistake I was making, was how I arrived at the correct folder location. You have to go through the file explorer just the way MarkA explained it. If you take a different route, thinking you're at the same place, it does not work.
Thank you for all your help and patience.
