Hello,
Yesterday my friends from the hangar were weighting their plane, so I took this opportunity to weight mine too.
Unfortunately my tanks were full, so I really add some fuel to be sure that I have 40 gallons in the tanks.
I found:
869 Kg (1.915 lbs) with full tanks, means 760 Kg (1.675 lbs) empty.
-Other interesting information: I discovered a difference of 4 Kg (8,8 lbs) between left and right side.
-Last interesting information about the minimum stuff that I always carry (headset, tow bar, gust lock, 1l of oil, some tools, documents...) = 20 Kg (44 lbs)
What are the weight of yours? I have the lyco version.
Did you also noticed a difference left/right?
See ya!
Arnaud.

Re: Weight of my plane
Mine is 1705, and it's not unusual for the left and right to be somewhat different. In my case it's currently 5 lb., with left side heavier. One rationale for this is the weight of the ballasts for the xeVision lights, which are way out on the left wing.
Mine was weighed empty, BTW. There is some uncertainty in "filling" the tanks to weight it and the deducting the weight, as one can "fill" to different levels and gasoline doesn't always have the density we use for calculating its weight.
Getting the CG right requires getting the plane completely level and very carefully measuring the offsets of the landing gear. If you're just validating weight, not too big a deal.
There are a number of planes on the wiki where a number of us have recorded these and other metrics.

Re: Weight of my plane
Our 2001 bird (40.023) has a total weight of 770 kg, arm 241 cm (1698 lbs, 94,9 in).
Weighed empty, with only engine oil and 6 lbs of unusable fuel.
And yes, we also notice left side slightly heavier. Left 860 lbs, right 832 lbs (on jacks).
Cheers /Mikael
