Re: DA40
Picked up my plane at the factory having annual done last week. I can say that there will be a DA40 Lycoming announcement at OSH this year that I understand will change this discussion a bit. Stay tuned!

Re: DA40
Ha! As it happens I’m on a cruise this week and even with my jaundiced view of the populace, there are sights on this boat I can never unsee.

Re: DA40
Never been on a cruise but I hear that one of the appeals are “all you can eat” buffets. Hardly the Love Boat.
Sold 2002. Powerflo, Hartzell composite two blade, 530W/430, 345 transponder.

Re: DA40
I was told there will be a circa 200lb useful load increase. Not sure how that will work with the current Lycoming engine though... may be underpowered...?

Re: DA40
That would be great, but unless they can loosen up the W&B envelope on the 50g models like mine, I'm not sure how much use would come of it. Maybe it would make putting ballast in the prop more palatable? (I have the composite Hartzell)

Re: DA40
I'm pretty sure anything DAI announces is related only to new aircrafts. I yet have to see any good news for the old ones.
