The Swiss Airforce just celebrated its 100 Year anniversary and my good friend (and DA40 pilot) Beat Meier made some rather stunning pictures I'd like to share. Enjoy!

Yup! He has also spent the equivalent of two divorces, one Ferrari and maybe half a DA42 on photo equipment.
I love this one

Jean if you had called me I would have joined you there and been very grateful.
I was doing the most stupid thing I ever did in my DA40: holding patterns on the eastern side of the CTR of the Payerne Air Force Base watching my wingtip get exactly in the way of whatever distant smoke I could barely see.
I could hear ATC and the team leaders on tower and ground frequencies (sometimes really funny accents) but that was it...
It was the first time in my life I found something good about a Cessna 172.
And adding insult to injury, the ride was horribly bumpy and I realized after landing that I did not feel well at all...

Re: Swiss Airforce Airshow Air14
I was back from a tour of Portugal and Spain in a C177RG. We made Chateauroux, San Sebastian, Santiago de Compostela, Lisbonne (Cascais), Portimao, Malaga (La Arxaquia https://www.facebook.com/aeroclubdemalaga), Palma (Son Bonet where I met Aart), Marina di Campo and finally back to Belgium over the Alps (Cervin and Mont Blanc) via Neuchatel for lunch and fuel, in ... 7 days and 28,5 flight hours for three pilots. We were very lucky with the weather.
We passed over Blécherette, I saw you DA40
